The Lover's Cross reads a relationship through five positions — two people and the line of time between them.
The five positions
One card for you — your real state in this bond. One for the other person — how they're holding it. Then the shared timeline: the past that shaped you two, the present moment, and the likely future if nothing changes. Reading you and them side by side often shows a mismatch you'd missed.
Read the gap
The most useful insight is usually the distance between your card and theirs: are you reaching while they retreat, or holding very different pictures of the same relationship? The time cards then show whether that gap is closing or widening.
When to use it
Good for a defined relationship you want to understand, not a "do they like me" guess. It won't grade the relationship — it shows you where the two of you actually stand, so the next step is honest.
